This build cannot actually clear owner/permission restrictions: the pinned PDF library cannot verify or rewrite PDF encryption, so restrictions are never silently dropped. For a restricted file the tool fails locally and honestly (ENGINE_UNAVAILABLE) rather than producing a broken or fake 'unlocked' PDF; no bypass or brute force is attempted. This tool does not remove or bypass a user/open password. If the document requires a password to open, use Remove Password with the correct password first — unlock-pdf and remove-password are separate jobs. Any existing digital signature on the document becomes invalid after this kind of modification — modifying the file breaks the signature's integrity check. Re-apply authorization/signatures after editing. Removing restrictions is only legitimate when you own the file or hold the rights to modify it. this app never guesses owner passwords and never assists with circumventing protections on documents you are not authorized to modify.
