Animations, slide transitions, and embedded video or audio are not rendered — the PDF is a static snapshot of the slide content, not a replay of the deck. This is a best-effort text and image renderer, not a pixel-perfect PowerPoint layout engine: fonts are approximated (the standard Helvetica family), theme styling is ignored, and shape fills, gradients, shadows, SmartArt, charts, and tables are reduced to their text and pictures. Only OOXML .pptx files are supported. Legacy binary .ppt files and password-encrypted .pptx files cannot be converted by this tool. Pictures in formats other than PNG or JPEG (for example SVG, GIF, or WebP) are skipped with a warning. Note that image quality controls rendered on-page resolution — it does not re-compress the embedded image data. Slides are converted in the order declared by the presentation file's slide list when that relationship data is present; for decks produced without it, fallback filename order is used.
How to use this tool
- Add a .pptx file (PowerPoint 2007 or newer) using the file picker or drag-and-drop.
- Choose which slides to convert — the default converts every slide, or pick a comma-separated subset such as 1, 3, 5.
- Set the image quality slider for embedded slide pictures, and tick "Include speaker notes" if you want the notes text printed below each slide.
- Download the resulting PDF and open it in any PDF viewer — verify the first few pages, since layout and fonts are a best-effort approximation of the original deck.
