APNG files: how to open and convert them
PNG with animation frames — every quality of GIF with full colour and alpha, at a larger size.
What this site can do with APNG
- Open and read: yes
- Write and convert to: no honest browser encoder exists
- Compression: lossless — no quality is lost when saving
- Transparency: supported
- Animation: supported
Our decode path reads the first frame; the browser renders full animation in an <img>.
