Handwriting OCR is substantially less accurate than printed-text OCR, especially for cursive writing, poor lighting, mixed languages, and faint ink. The exported PDF contains editable recognized text, not a pixel-perfect recreation of handwriting or the original page design. Built-in PDF fonts have limited script coverage; unsupported characters may need a future embedded-font enhancement.

How to use this tool

  1. Add a clear JPEG or PNG photo or scan of handwriting.
  2. Choose the closest handwriting language and a confidence threshold for words needing review.
  3. Use the side-by-side recognized-text review to correct uncertain words before export.
  4. Choose plain text for easy reading or preserve lines for an approximate transcription layout, then download the editable PDF.
