Room codes are ephemeral and there is no server-side storage: closing the tab or leaving the room discards the board unless you export it. If your connection drops, the app re-connects and re-syncs the canvas from a peer when one is available; otherwise it shows a clear reconnecting/failed state rather than silently losing work. Launch connectivity is STUN-only: peers behind restrictive NATs or firewalls that require a TURN relay may fail to connect, with no TURN fallback shipped yet. PNG export renders text using a built-in monospace bitmap font for fully offline rasterization; the PDF export uses real selectable vector text (Helvetica) instead. Use PDF export when text fidelity matters.
How to use this tool
- Generate a room code and share it with the people you want to draw with — or paste a code a colleague sends you. Your browser connects peer-to-peer; no account or upload needed.
- Draw on the shared canvas with the pen, eraser, rectangle, ellipse, and line tools. Pick a color and stroke width, or click the text tool to place labelled notes. Use undo/redo to step through the drawing history.
- Choose whether your view follows the room (presenter-driven pan/zoom) or stays independent while the rest of the group draws.
- When the board looks right, export it as a PNG image or a single-page PDF. Export is fully offline — it renders exactly the op log of what is on the board now, no live connection required.
