Your files stay on this device

This app adds and edits supported content — text boxes, freehand, highlights, shapes, images, and signatures. It cannot rewrite the existing embedded text and layout of an uploaded PDF as if it were a word processor; pre-existing text stays as-is unless covered over. When flattening is off, some annotation kinds (such as placed images and signatures) are still baked into the page because PDF has no standard annotation subtype for a placed raster image.

How to use this tool

  1. Upload a PDF, then open the page you want to work on from the page rail.
  2. Pick a tool from the annotation bar — text box, freehand, highlighter, rectangle/ellipse/line, or image — and drag on the canvas to place it.
  3. Move or resize a placed item with the selection tool; nudge it with the arrow keys and refine its opacity, color, and layer order.
  4. To add a signature, drop an existing signature image onto the canvas as you would any image annotation (draw/type/upload capture lives in the dedicated Sign tool).
  5. Choose whether to flatten annotations into the page permanently, then download the edited PDF.
