Acceptable use
Use the toolkit lawfully, safely, and with respect for other people's information.
These rules exist to keep Paperlane usable and trustworthy for everyone. They apply regardless of whether a given operation runs locally in your browser or through a network-assisted feature.
Lawful use#
Do not use the service to violate applicable laws, third-party rights, confidentiality obligations, or the safety of another person or system. This includes processing documents you are not authorized to access or handle.
Responsible document handling#
You are responsible for having authorization to process a given document, for retaining or disposing of it appropriately afterward, and for reviewing tool output before relying on it or sharing it further.
Consequences#
Use that violates this policy may result in restricted access to network-assisted features. Local tools, by design, cannot be remotely restricted once loaded in your browser — which is itself a reason to take these rules seriously rather than relying on enforcement.
