The visual comparison is a deterministic per-pixel check at a fixed 96 DPI — it can flag anti-aliasing or re-export noise as changes, and it does not judge whether a change matters. There is no AI explanation of differences in this version. Pages that exist in only one document are reported as added or removed whole pages — no pixel or text comparison is attempted for them. Text differences are best-effort line matches from extracted text; heavily reflowed or image-based (scanned) pages produce limited or no text diff signal. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first using Remove Password.
How to use this tool
- Add the "before" PDF first (the left-hand version), then the "after" PDF second (the right-hand version).
- Pick a comparison mode: side by side, overlay, or blink between the two versions — and switch on reduced motion if you want to avoid flashing.
- Choose a pixel-difference threshold; the default 30 catches genuine content changes while filtering out anti-aliasing noise.
- Review the page map (pages added, removed, or changed), the per-page text difference when enabled, and the red visual heatmap, then download the report.
