How to use this tool

  1. Add your files — drag them onto the page or choose them. They stay on your device.
  2. Set the grid: Columns and Rows — twenty frames (4×5) covers a typical clip well.
  3. Pick the tile width, whether timestamps print on each frame, and JPG or PNG for the sheet.
  4. Press “Build the sheet” and download the results, individually or as one ZIP.

About this tool

One image showing the whole video as a grid of timestamped frames. Free and unlimited, and nothing is uploaded: it all runs in your own browser. Everything is analysed and produced on your own device — nothing is uploaded anywhere, and you can verify it: the tools keep working even offline.

Privacy & limitations

Files over roughly 2 GB, or long 4K videos, can exhaust the browser's memory — everything runs on your machine, so your machine is the limit. Very sparse grids on very long videos still decode every sampled frame; expect a slow pass on hour-long sources.

Frequently asked questions

How many frames should the grid have?

Four by five, twenty frames, suits most clips. A long recording justifies more; a short one looks repetitive with too many.

Are the frames evenly spaced?

Yes, across the whole running time, so the sheet represents the entire video rather than the opening of it.

What are the timestamps for?

So you can go straight to the moment you spotted. Each cell is labelled with its own position in the clip.

JPG or PNG for the sheet?

JPG, for anything with many cells: a twenty-frame PNG sheet is several megabytes where the JPG is a few hundred kilobytes and looks the same.
