  2. Pick Save audio as — MP3 plays on everything, FLAC is lossless, M4A suits Apple players.
  3. Set the bitrate (lossy targets only) and optionally trim to a range before extracting.
  4. Press “Extract audio” and download the results, individually or as one ZIP.

About this tool

Pull the soundtrack out of any video as MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC and more. Free and unlimited, and nothing is uploaded: it all runs in your own browser. Everything is analysed and produced on your own device — nothing is uploaded anywhere, and you can verify it: the tools keep working even offline.

Privacy & limitations

Files over roughly 2 GB, or long 4K videos, can exhaust the browser's memory — everything runs on your machine, so your machine is the limit. Extraction re-encodes the soundtrack into the target format; each lossy generation costs a little fidelity, so choose WAV/FLAC when the master matters.

Frequently asked questions

Does extracting audio lose quality?

The soundtrack inside a video is already compressed, and re-encoding it costs a little more. Choosing a higher bitrate, or a lossless target like WAV or FLAC, keeps that second loss to nothing.

What bitrate should I choose?

192 kbps MP3 is transparent for most listeners. Speech is fine at 96 or even 64. Only go above 256 if the source was high quality to begin with, which for video audio it rarely is.

Can I take just part of the video?

Yes. The trim settings take a start and an end, so you can pull one song or one answer out of a long recording rather than the whole thing.

Which format should the audio be?

MP3 for compatibility with everything. M4A for better quality at the same size. WAV or FLAC if you are going to edit it afterwards.
