How to use this tool

  1. Add the PDF you need to sign, then choose how to create your signature: draw it freehand on the canvas, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload an existing signature image.
  2. Position the signature on the right page by dragging it into place, then use the handles to resize it to match the scale of your hand-written mark.
  3. Rotate the signature if your pen stroke sits at a slight angle, and adjust opacity if you want a lighter or more solid ink feel.
  4. To sign multiple pages or reuse the same mark, duplicate the signature and drop each copy onto its target page with its own position and size.
  5. Review the signed preview, then download the completed PDF. this app keeps your document and signature only on your device — nothing is uploaded.

About this tool

Sign a PDF free, on any device including iPhone, entirely in your browser — draw, type, or upload a signature image and place it on the page. Your document is never uploaded to a server; the signed PDF downloads straight from your device.

Privacy & limitations

This tool places an electronic mark — an image of your signature — onto the PDF. It is not a certificate-backed (cryptographic) digital signature: it does not verify your identity, and it does not provide the tamper-evidence guarantees a PKI-based signature does. Check with the recipient before relying on it where a certified signature is required (for example, court filings or regulated contracts). Placing a signature does not flatten other PDF content, and viewers that replace or ignore page content could, in rare cases, display the mark differently from the preview. The optional initials-and-date line on every page uses a built-in Latin font, so it cannot print Devanagari, Arabic, CJK or other non-Latin characters. Saved signatures stay in this browser only; clearing site data deletes them, and they do not sync to other devices.

Frequently asked questions

How do I sign a PDF online for free?

Open your PDF, draw or type your signature, place it on the page, and download the signed document. The whole process happens in your browser, including on an iPhone or Android phone, so the document is not uploaded and no account is needed.

Is an online PDF signature legally binding?

That depends on your jurisdiction and the type of document — this tool adds a visual signature to the PDF but does not perform identity verification or cryptographic signing required for some legal use cases. For contracts requiring a qualified electronic signature, check your local e-signature law first.

Can I sign a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Draw your signature with a finger, type your name in a handwriting-style font, or upload a signature image. Then drag it onto the page, resize it, rotate it and adjust its opacity. It works in a mobile browser, and the document never leaves your device.

Is my saved signature stored anywhere?

Saved signatures stay in this browser only; nothing is uploaded. Clearing your site data deletes them, and they do not sync to other devices, so you will need to draw or upload your signature again on a new phone or computer.
