Everyone pays the same, and the head count must be a whole number. It does not itemise dishes or remember who paid the card.

How do I split a bill equally with a tip?
Enter the bill total, the number of people and the tip percentage. The tool adds the tip to the total, then divides by the number of people. For ₹2,400 with 4 people and a 10% tip, the total is ₹2,640 and each person pays ₹660.
Is the tip added before or after splitting?
The tip percentage is applied to the whole bill first, then the total is divided between everyone. Because the split is equal, the result is the same as splitting first and adding the tip to each share. Set the tip to 0 to split the bill as it is.
Can I split a bill unevenly or by dish?
No. It only does an even split plus a tip. It does not assign unequal shares or track who ordered which dish, so for a bill where one person had much more, work out those amounts separately and use this tool for the shared items.
How do I include GST or a service charge?
If the bill total already includes GST, enter that total as it is. For a service charge that is not on the bill, enter its percentage in the tip field. The tool does not calculate GST separately; use the GST calculator for that.
