About this tool
Convert a DOCX document to PDF locally in your browser. Choose the page size and whether to include images, then review the result. Layout is approximate: complex columns and wrapped images are reflowed, and headers, footers, comments, and tracked changes are not preserved. Nothing is uploaded.
Privacy & limitations
Fidelity is approximate, not pixel-perfect: complex multi-column layouts, floating or wrapped images, and text boxes are re-flowed into a single linear column. Tracked changes, comments, embedded macros, and advanced fields are not preserved — only the currently visible text is used. Headers and footers are not rendered in this version. Headers/footers aside, non-Latin writing systems may not display correctly because the built-in PDF fonts cover the Latin character set only.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert a Word document to PDF for free?
Choose your .docx file, pick A4 or US Letter, decide whether to keep images, and convert. The PDF is built in your browser, so the document is never uploaded, and there is no account and no watermark. Download it when it finishes and check it before sending.
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word file?
Not exactly. The converter re-flows content into a single column, so multi-column layouts, floating images and text boxes may move. Tracked changes and comments are not kept, and headers and footers are not rendered. It suits letters, reports and notes; for a pixel-perfect copy, use Save as PDF in Word itself.
Can I convert an old .doc file, or a Hindi or Arabic document?
Only .docx files are accepted, so save older .doc files as .docx first. The built-in PDF fonts cover Latin characters only, so Devanagari, Arabic, Chinese and other scripts may not display correctly in the output. Check the result before you rely on it for an application or print.
Is it safe to convert a confidential Word document here?
Yes. The conversion runs locally on your device and the file is not sent to a server. You can check this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab and convert a file. You will see no upload. Very large documents are limited only by your device's memory.
